How Love Loom Stories collects, uses, and protects your information and your child's details and photos.

Love Loom Stories makes personalised storybooks for children. Our website and accounts are meant for parents, legal guardians, and adults buying a gift. They are not meant for children, and children should not sign in or place orders themselves.
This policy explains what we collect from you, what we collect about your child, why, and the choices you have. We treat your child's details and photos with extra care, and we only ask for what we need to make their book.
When you create an order, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have their permission to share the child's name, age, gender, and photos with us to make the book.
You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us. If the book has not been printed yet, we will stop work on it and delete your child's details and photos. Once a book has been printed, we can still delete the details and photos we hold, but we cannot recall the printed book.
While you personalise a story, your child's name, age, gender, and photos stay in your own browser. They are not sent to us at this point.
They are only uploaded to us when you sign in and create your order. If you leave without creating an order, your browser deletes them automatically within a few hours.

We do not ask for your child's date of birth, school, location, or any other details.
We use them for one purpose: to create your child's personalised book and show you a preview before it is printed. Specifically, we:
We do not build profiles of children, track children's behaviour, or show children targeted advertising.
Our website analytics are about the adult using the site. We never send your child's name or photos to our analytics tools. Where we record website sessions to improve the site, everything typed into forms, including your child's name and your gift message, is hidden from the recording.
We do not send marketing messages unless you have asked to receive them.
We only share information with trusted service providers who help us run Love Loom Stories, and only what each one needs:

Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with secure cloud providers. Only the members of our team who need to work on your order can access your child's photos and details.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach that affects your information or your child's, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
We keep your child's photos, details, and book pages only for as long as we need them to make and deliver your book and to help with any reprints or support requests afterwards. After that, we delete them.
We keep basic order records, such as invoices, for as long as tax and accounting laws require. These records do not include your child's photos.
